Cookie Policy

Last updated 10 September 2026

SIXTY24 is a beta product with a genuinely short list of things it stores about you. Every single one is listed below — nothing is omitted, and nothing beyond this list runs on the site.

Cookies

NameTypePurposeDuration
sessionFirst-party, strictly necessary Keeps you logged in. The beta requires an account to view any content, so this cookie is required for the site to work at all. Up to 365 days, or until you log out

That's the only cookie SIXTY24 sets. There are no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, and no cookies set by any third party.

Browser storage (localStorage / sessionStorage)

These never leave your device — SIXTY24's servers never see their contents.

KeyStoragePurposeDuration
Pinned storieslocalStorage Remembers which cards you've pinned to the top of your feed Until you unpin them or clear browser data
Favourite tickerslocalStorage Remembers your favourited sports for quick navigation Until changed or browser data is cleared
Ticker navigation visibilitylocalStorage Remembers which sports you've hidden from the ticker switcher Until changed or browser data is cleared
Cookie notice acknowledgedlocalStorage So this notice doesn't show you again after you've seen it Until browser data is cleared
Feed scroll position, feed cache, navigation-open state sessionStorage Purely functional — restores your place when you come back to a tab or switch tickers, forgotten when you close the tab Until the browser tab is closed

Why there's no cookie "choice" to make

EU cookie law (the ePrivacy Directive) requires your consent before setting anything that isn't strictly necessary for a service you've asked for. Every item above is exactly that: necessary to log in, or a preference you asked the app to remember, stored only on your own device. There's currently nothing optional to opt in or out of — no ad tech, no cross-site tracking, no analytics. That's a deliberate product decision (see our Privacy Policy), not an oversight, so this page is a full disclosure rather than a consent form with categories to toggle.

If that ever changes — for example if we add anonymous product analytics — this page will be updated first, a new consent choice will appear if the law requires one, and the banner you may have seen on the feed will reappear so you can decide.

Clearing your data

Logging out removes your session cookie. Clearing your browser's site data for sixty24.com removes everything in the table above, including your pinned stories and favourites — this doesn't affect your account, which lives on our servers.
